BURGERTIME Data East version came out in November 1982. They tried to compete with Bally in the U.S. market but most arcades already had the Midway version of the game and as a result DECO wasn't as successful as the original. Also, DECO's cabinets had new interchangable conversion system that used small cassette versions of the games. Burgertime was going to be the first of these cassette games, but the new cabinets had technical problems. DECO's cassette cabinets were sucessfully used later in the Nintendo PlayChoice and SNK's Neo Geo arcade systems. The DECO version It was basically the same game but the marquee and cabinet were different.
